Candy Donations Needed for Rutherford Correctional Center

At 096 Prison Chaplaincy Ministry, we believe in the power of faith, encouragement, and community connection to bring hope and transformation to individuals behind bars.

his autumn, we have a wonderful opportunity to bless the residents at the Rutherford Correctional Center in Spindale through their upcoming Fall Festival. To help make this event a success, we are asking for our local community, church partners, and ministry supporters to help us collect individually wrapped candy.

This special Fall Festival program will serve 267 inmates. Simple acts of kindness—like providing treats for a community event—go a long way toward building trust, bringing joy, and fostering a positive environment for spiritual growth and reflection.

• Purchase Candy: We are accepting donations of brand-new, unopened bags of individually wrapped candy.
• Drop-Off Location: Please drop off donations directly at the facility:

Rutherford Correctional Center
549 Ledbetter Rd
Spindale, NC 28160

• Important Note Upon Delivery: When leaving your candy donation at the facility entrance, please explicitly state to staff that the candy is a donation for the Fall Festival “program.” This ensures it is routed directly to the chaplaincy team and event organizers.
• Deadline: All candy donations must be dropped off by Saturday, October 24.
